Professionals

“Your personal life, your professional life, and your creative life are all intertwined. I went through a few very difficult years where I felt like a failure. But it was actually really important for me to go through that. Struggle, for me, is the most inspirational thing in the world at the end of the day – as long as you treat it that way.”

I have a number of professionals looking after me, both for my health, home and business choices.

Just in the past year alone, I have utilised the services of my General Practitioner, Oncologist, Physiotherapist, Oncology Massage Therapist, Lawyer, Marketing guru, Website designer, Photographer, Accountant, Superannuation Accountant, Supervisor, Painter and I am certain that I have missed many more professionals.

I also utilise the expertise of my family and friends (especially as I relocated office space last Christmas break) and for my breast cancer fundraiser in which there were a team of us working on this behind the scenes, which included the Chef and staff of Botanica.

They all provide a different aspect to my life and are the “experts” that I rely on for their advice and experience.  I also source information from my peer group, then ask further questions of my expert team that is around me for clarification.

I am wondering who is on your team of “professionals” and whether you have all aspects of your life covered?  Your physical, social, emotional and spiritual.  Is there a part missing that needs to be supported or nurtured?  Who is missing in your team?

When I think back over the past two years in which both my and my partners health were compromised – we really needed the team of professionals around to assist us navigate the new waters that we were tossed into.

I know of those who are attempting to get onto the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) for themselves or a family member, having someone to assist with the paperwork is beneficial as the system is not always friendly to navigate.  Having a planner or support coordinator is certainly a bonus when beginning this journey.

So don’t be afraid to ask for assistance as this is the way that we can grow.

The same for those who need a little clarification with life’s difficulties – sometimes we all need an independent person to talk to, which in turn, helps us to work through the issues.  Stress can make us all stuck at times.

There are a range of professionals around, I am one of them and I may be able to assist you navigate through some personal or professional challenges that you are having.

Feel free to make contact and have a chat.
