Warmth

“Keep love in your heart. A life without it is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead. The consciousness of loving and being loved brings a warmth and a richness to life that nothing else can bring.”

Oscar Wilde

This week’s topic is warmth and with this I mean the warmth that we give others and also receive from others.

I have been fortunate to have my family relocate close by and we now have the opportunity to celebrate birthdays and a weekly meal together.

We try to make it Sunday lunch, however the weather was definitely against us last weekend and we decided to go for Saturday evening instead.  For me, sharing food together is always a celebration.

Another warmth we can feel is the space that we are in.  Does the space provide a sense of warmth and comfort, or does it feel sterile and cold?

I am definitely happy with my new space; the consensus is that the rooms are inviting and has a calming feel.  It is still work in progress and whilst we have ordered new flooring and blinds, it is taking a little more time than anticipated.  I had a call from the flooring people yesterday and we are booked in for mid-March due to my inability to give two full days prior to this date.  This will allow them to lay the new carpet and vinyl planks.  We still need to schedule the parquetry person and wait for the blinds to be installed.

One of my beautiful people mentioned that my room needed some greenery, so I went shopping at a new indoor plant today and yes, the plants are certainly adding to the warmth of the space.  I will need to get a pot or two from my favourite pot shop over the weekend or if I have some spare time earlier.

A friendly reminder that whilst we are a work in progress, the doors are open, and we are trading Tuesdays to Fridays.  After hours appointments are available by negotiation.
