Balance 2025
“Balance is a feeling derived from being whole and complete; it’s a sense of harmony. It is essential to maintaining quality in life and work.” Joshua Osenga
I have been “offline” so to speak for the past two weeks recovering post-surgery from a minor operation. I did have a list of what not to do and I did not quite read or listen to this information, so have been a little sore and sorry at the end of each day.
During this period, all my self-care went out the window as I did not have the time or energy for this, healing was the number one priority along with rest and recovery.
Back at work this week and already have a load of clients waiting. Making sure that I eat right and sustain my energy levels is essential – both for myself and the clients.
I have missed out on my weekly mosaic class and looking forward to rejoining this week. I have also booked in a special workshop this weekend in which I will learn to use a new substance and possible mosaic substrates for the future. This will enable my mind to turn from work and use the creative side that doesn’t get so much of a workout and the chance to work with a claylike substance is too exciting. Watch out my inner child!
I have been planning the next three months to the countdown to the end of the year. Balancing training, holidays and celebrations. I will be attending a mental health conference in Tasmania and have added a small holiday whilst over at the island. September and October are busy birthday months in our family and whilst we won’t see the birthday people, we still celebrate and enjoy the photos. Our grandson had his first birthday celebration over the weekend, and it looked like a fun day for all as they shared the photos and videos.
Yesterday we received a wedding invitation from our friend’s son and his fiancé – it is to be a cross-cultural affair, and I have today pencilled this timing out of my diary in anticipation of attending. There are multiple ceremonies planned. It will be a wonderful time to share their story and watch this grow.
Finding the right balance and/or harmony is essential to life and wellbeing and these events certainly bring joy to both me and others.
