Life’s meaning 2025

“The pure power of a life can manifest as beatitude, or as an unspeakable, sheer violence…” Jane Bennet

This week’s topic of conversation is life’s meaning, and I will confess – I did look up the meaning of beatitude.  It is great happiness or calm which makes perfect sense as the opposite of sheer violence.

Life’s meaning at times can be difficult to fathom, especially if we are in a crisis or trauma.  It is only when life is calm, that it may make sense.

Our family life has been in turmoil for some time, with a range of “things” going on behind the scenes.  We have been waiting impatiently in the sidelines, whilst the act(s) have played out and there have been several “players” in this.  The systems at times can be difficult to manage and this has certainly been the case for us.  The different moving parts have not communicated with each other, nor us.  Whilst it has not been a pleasant experience, my heart goes out to others that may be in a similar situation.  It is not pleasant when faced with this, along with the unknown of a new situation and being in an unresponsive system that doesn’t seem to care about those it impacts.

For me, this is the first time I have felt this way and whilst I am usually good at managing systems and advocating for others – this is totally overwhelming me.  Both with the lack of information and communication and the care factor seems minimal at best.  I have felt totally out of my depth and completely out of the loop!

For those out there that are also experiencing a similar situation, my heart goes out to you, and I hope that you find your way out of this maze of life OR find someone who can assist you moving forward in this quest.  There are many people who may be able to assist you, whether holding you whilst you manage or someone that may help you navigate your way through this maze.

Once my situation resolves itself and I can concentrate once again – I plan to take my experience to a higher level, either inside or outside the system walls.  I feel that if I am having difficulties in navigating these unchartered waters, others may also have the same sense of overwhelm and despair.  In this day and age, information shouldn’t be so difficult to receive.
